Heard it from an ashtray, you had gone and lost your mind. Saw it on a flat screen, call me in the dead of night. Happy ever after is harder when you're out for blood. You were up to something, I was up to nothing much. Casanova in a parking lot, I saw Charles Barkley by the bar. And Cinderella does a Jager-Bomb, The band gets high out in the car. Saw you on a cell phone, sorry if I blew your high. Met you in a driveway, couldn't let you come inside. Driving in your new car, someone took away your keys. Standing in my front yard, stumbling away from me. Casanova in a parking lot, I saw Charles Barkley by the bar. And Cinderella does a Jager-Bomb, The band gets high out in the car. We were never primetime, We were never anything more than something we could build on. Easy for me to say when you wrote the lines. We were always overblown, You were always ever so confident to keep going. Someone said I should've seen the signs. Casanova in a parking lot, I saw Charles Barkley by the bar. And Cinderella does a Jager-Bomb, The band gets high out in the car.

I don't think that you care very much for my friend, And I don't think that you care quite enough to pretend. Tired Eyes you can't close yet, I'll try my hardest not to forget you, But I don't think you care very much for my friends. You've got your foot on my head, When I'm alive and at the foot of your bed. Every saint of scientist can say they know what's right for this, But you've got your foot on my head. I don't think that I care very much for all the sentimental bullshit, Or the way that we keep breaking sheets of glass, And I don't think that anyone without a dagger in his back, Would put a penny in the jukebox just to hear the record crack. We're writing moments for inebriated masses, In expensive universities and shitty english classes. When the conversation's over and these moments have to end, I don't think that you care very much for my friends. You've got your foot on my head, When I'm alive and at the foot of your bed. Every saint of scientist can say they know what's right for this, But you've got your foot on my head. And I'll remember every second on your mind, Until the closing sign reminds me that we're running out of time, And every single shot of confidence my weird eyes can find, Will bring me closer to my comrades at the bottom of this pint, And when the conversation's over I can listen to your eyes, And we can dance with all your demons if you're coming home tonight. When every single sign of sacrilege is overdosed in white, We'll find that deep inside the neighborhood the freaks are out and looking for a fight.

Take me out of the back seat, Tell me that you feel it softly, Tell me with your headphones on, That you can't hear around me. Picture perfect with picture perfect apparel, Depends on the way you wear it. It's scarier if you think about me. If we're gone, the moment's gone. The night rolls on but the song came out wrong. And we've got two hands of blues and reds. Gonna get destroyed or dead, And still the song plays on in my head. Nights I'd try to spend without you, Voices that I'd shout through, Were never loud enough. And I'm though imagining what I'd do. I'm broken but I'm proud, too. I couldn't give a fuck. When we're gone but everybody saw, The mental images we're passing around. So fuck everybody else, right? Fuck everybody else, right? And there's a silhouette of you with the band in the back room, And all I wanna do is maybe get a little food. And you guessed it would be best if, Everybody knew to act like they're someone. And I just feel like every time I open up my mouth, I'm sitting there and you're sitting there and we're sitting there, And I'm drinking and you're drinking and he's drinking and she's drinking, And we turn around and, I'm just getting a little bit stressed out right now because I want a dog. I'm tired of having cats all over the place, I've always wanted a dog. You're talking at me from this side and I can't hear what's going on on this side of my brain. You can do your own thing. Nights I'd try to spend without you, Voices that I'd shout through, Were never loud enough. And I'm though imagining what I'd do. I'm broken but I'm proud, too. I couldn't give a fuck.
